Enhancing project-related behavioral competence in education

The workforce has increasingly been demanding an educational model that produces students experienced in real project management (PM) practices. This includes producing technically competent students--one who can manage real-world project constraints of cost and schedule but also possess critical project related behavioral competence. Such soft skills are essential if a project is to run smoothly and eventually succeed. In this paper, we describe an educational framework grounded in outcomes based education to enhance project-related behavioral competence. Instructors can leverage this framework to augment their existing courses and develop the critical career skill sets of graduating students

Schizophrenia in Film: The Missing Narrative

Film characters with schizophrenia are most often depicted as (1) violent and threatening or (2) extraordinary and talented. As a result of these cinematic representations, audiences have false assumptions about the reality of schizophrenia. Films give the impression that people with schizophrenia should be separated from society in some way by being placed in a mental institution or on a pedestal to show that even a sick brain can be marvelous. I studied films that portray schizophrenic characters in order to identify a story that is not being told by Hollywood. By looking at the romantic, platonic, and familial relationships in these movies, I was able to write a short film that tells a realistic story of the early stages of schizophrenia. In my screenplay, I supply the “missing” narrative of how society can live together with people who have mental illnesses without separating them

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran orang tuan dalam pendidikan agama kristen bagi anak dalam pernikahan beda agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua dan gereja sangat berperan penting dalam memberikan pendidikan agama kristen bagi anak dalam pernikahan beda agama. Hasil akhir dari artikel ini adalah untuk memperlihatkan bagaiaman peran orang tua dalam pendidikan agama kristen bagi anak dalam pernikahan agama dan hal-hal apa saja yang dapat digunakan oleh orang tua di dalam memberikan pendidikan agama kristen bagi anak-anak yang lahir dalam pernikahan beda agama

Trends & Themes that will dominate in ITPM Education through 2020 (SIGITProjMgmt)

Project management will continue to be the most important skill that employers will be seeking across industries through 2020 after application development. Our panel will discuss the following trends in IT Project Management education that educators need to be aware of a) Agile SW development and agile PM continuing to trend upwards, b) mobile and smart device usage gaining ground, c) information security and cyberattacks dominating the conversation and the impact on project managers leading software development, and finally, d) formal PM education of technical and behavioral competencies. We will invite discussions on the above issues and provide insights on how to address the issues and adapt them in our curriculum

The purpose of this study was to examine the parenting pattern of parents in growing children's spirituality in the GMIM Imanuel Taratara Congregation, analyze the factors that influence parenting patterns in growing children's spirituality in the GMIM Imanuel Taratara Congregation and describes the efforts made to overcome obstacles in parenting patterns in growing children's spirituality in the GMIM Imanuel Taratara Congregation. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method which was carried out at the GMIM Imanuel Taratara Congregation. From the results of data exposure, findings and discussion, it is necessary for parents to understand the importance of parenting in fostering children's spirituality so that they can direct children to be able to grow spirituality well
